Strobe Sequencing of Human Fosmids. Homo sapiens

To test new methods for structural variant detection, we sequenced four human fosmids from individual NA15510 using Pacific Biosciences strobe sequencing. These fosmids were previously reported to each contain a single structural variant. Fosmids were selected based on the reported variant as described in [Kidd et. al., Nature 2008] as well as the detectability of the variants from simulated paired-read and single molecule sequencing data. Two of the fosmids harbor a deletion, and two of the fosmids harbor an inversion.
