The Cluster Mass-Temperature Relation Via Precise Weak Lensing Maps
收藏资源简介:
The masstemperature relation is crucial for understanding cluster evolution andfor precision cosmology using clusters of galaxies. To determine its slope, normalization, and intrinsic scatter, we propose to measure the temperature ofsystems in the Canadian Cluster Comparison Project. The CCCP is a CFHTwidefield weak lensing survey of 52 clusters, of which 7 have no Chandra orXMMNewton data. With an average statistical uncertainty of 15% in mass, theCCCP surpasses the previous work in both sample size and precision. Bydetermining the mass independently of the Xray data, we avoid assumptions suchas spherical symmetry or hydrostatic equilibrium. We will determine thenormalization of the relation to 10%, and achieve the first measurement of its intrinsic scatter. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
