IPQA – Air Quality Forecast Index (WMS geoservice)

The IPQA is a forecast index that summarises the state of air quality of the Torinese agglomeration through a numerical and chromatic indication. The IPQA is developed on the basis of the concentrations of the main pollutants present in the atmosphere (PM10, nitrogen dioxide and ozone) calculated by a modelling system managed by Arpa Piemonte which, starting from weather forecasts and the estimation of pollutant emissions, simulates the transport, deposition and chemical transformations of the same, providing a forecast of their concentration.
