Petroleum raw materials; balance sheet, 1944 – May 2009

The table shows the supply and use of petroleum raw materials in balance form. Petroleum commodities are crude oil and natural gas condensate. The balance shows both domestic traffic and warehouse traffic. The difference between these two is that import duties have been paid for the goods in domestic trade and not for the goods in the warehouse. The balance of domestic traffic shall contain the following data: initial stocks (1), extraction (2), imports (3), exports (4), processing (5) and final stocks (6). The balance sheet is: (1 + 2 + 3) = (4 + 5 + 6). The balance sheet of the warehouse traffic shall contain the following information: initial stocks (1), imports (2), exports (3), consumption for blending (4) and final stocks (5). The balance sheet is: (1 + 2) = (3 + 4 + 5). For the years 1978-1989 and 1991-1994, the item also recorded statistical differences in order to make the balance sheet correct. In the other years, this difference has been divided among the various posts. Data available From 1944 to May 2009, to 2000 annually, from January 2000 monthly. Status of the figures: The figure for processing of natural gas condensate given in the table is a provisional figure. All other figures are final figures.
