This is a digital reproduction of an image held in the Library of Congress. <br><br>The image depicts three camel-riders approaching Bethlehem from the north on the old Jerusalem-Bethlehem road. The Bethlehem skyline can be seen in the distance, including the Church of the Nativity in the centre of the photograph. Nearer to the riders, on the right-hand side, can be seen the dome of Rachel's Tomb and the Jacir Palace, constructed by Bethlehem mayor and merchant Suleiman Jacir in 1910-1913. This image is the cropped version of the original. <br><br>This image exists as part of the Bethlehem People and Places collection within the Library of Congress project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
