Truck Traffic

Truck traffic data from the Roadway Information System (RIS) database. Traffic data is collected from traffic counters set on the roadway. Results are factored for the time of year (season) and axle corrected to calculate the Annual Average Daily Traffic and Annual Average Truck Traffic from the highway segment. Highway segments are determined by major road intersections. Traffic count data is stored in the RIS Traffic file and updated annually by the South Dakota Department of Transportation, Office of Inventory Management and Research.本数据集包含来自道路信息系统（Roadway Information System，RIS）数据库的货车交通流量数据。该类交通流量数据通过布设于道路上的交通计数器采集获得，研究人员会针对年度季节因素对数据进行系数折算，并开展车轴校正，以此计算对应公路路段的年平均日交通量与年平均货车交通量。公路路段依据主要道路交叉口进行划分，交通流量计数数据存储于RIS交通文件中，由南达科他州运输部库存管理与研究办公室按年度更新维护。
