The Antarctic Laboratory for Cosmic Rays (acronym: LARC; Chile/Italy
collaboration via INACH and PNRA) records since January 1991 the nucleonic
component of galactic cosmic rays (detector type: 6-NM-64) in the high-latitude
Latin-American sector (South Shetlands). Among the different LARC research
goals the GLE identification has the first priority.
