Despite the high feasibility of innovative technologies implementation in the Russian insurance market, most of the businesses did not have plans for using such technologies as of 2021. The highest degree of full-scale usage was recorded for implementation of machine learning models in rate-setting as per 53 percent of survey participants. Optical character recognition in claim settlement was the least developed new technology in this sector, though with a substantial amount of pilot projects.
