Amundsen Sea sector ice-ocean model output focused on pinning point ungrounding in the Pine Island Glacier system

This data set represents the model results plotted in the Supplementary Figure 3 in Johnson et al. (2026), showing the ungrounding of pinning points in the Pine Island Glacier (PIG) system. This was produced using the MITgcm-WAVI ice-ocean coupled model with this simulation first published in Bett et al. (2024). While this figure focuses on the PIG system, the model domain is the Amundsen Sea sector, and three model time slices are shown for 5 years, 70 years and 85 years. The simulation is forced using idealised ocean boundary conditions which represent warm conditions. For full description of the model setup and simulation see Bett et al.
