Whole-genome sequencing of prevalent strains provided deeper insights into their pathogenicity and resistance profiles, including high-risk sequence types, phylogenetic clustering, genetic diversity, and associations with human isolates. This study highlights the evolving pathogenicity and resistance of Aeromonas spp. in aquaculture products over the past decade, emphasizing its importance for food safety.
