RNA-seq dataset collected on 15 mosquito species from 2018 to 2020 across 13 geographic districts at Hainan Island in China

Mosquitoes were sampled for three consecutive years in the summer from 2018 to 2020 across 13 geographic districts at Hainan Island in China, including Baisha (BS), Dongfang (DF), Danzhou (DZ), Haikou (HK), Ledong (LD), Lingao (LG), Lingshui (LS), Qinghai (QH), Sanya (SY), Tunchang (TC), Wenchang (WC), Wanning (WN), and Wuzhishan (WZS). Total RNA was isolated from three mosquito individuals of each species using TRIzol Reagent (Invitrogen). The rRNA-depleted RNA was fragmented and converted into a strand-specific cDNA library using TruSeq Stranded Total RNA Library Prep kit (Illumina). The 150 bp paired-end sequencing was performed on an Illumina HiSeq 4000 System.
