Mitochondrial COI-COII Intergenic Region Sequences from Apis mellifera

This dataset contains mitochondrial DNA sequences corresponding to the COI-COII intergenic region of Apis mellifera (the Western honeybee). These sequences were obtained to identify and characterize mitochondrial haplotypes within sampled populations. The COI-COII region is commonly used as a genetic marker for evolutionary studies and subspecies differentiation in honeybees. These data contribute to ongoing efforts in the study of honeybee genetic diversity and population structure.
