资源简介:
Glyceryl behenate (GB) and GB-based lipid blends are widely used in pharmaceutical and food applications, where their performance is strongly influenced by solid-state organization and thermally induced structural changes. In particular, melting-based processing can significantly modify lamellar architecture and molecular packing, making a detailed structural description essential for understanding and optimizing formulation behavior. This dataset provides the complete set of calculations used to derive electron-density profiles (EDPs) and related structural properties from synchrotron small angle X-Ray scattering measurements. EDPs data are reported for GB in its original solid-state form (raw material), for GB after melting and aging for different storage times, and for GB-based blends containing 10% (w/w) of a second lipid excipient belonging to different chemical classes: a solid fatty acid (stearic acid, SA), a solid fatty alcohol (stearic alcohol, SAL), a solid surfactant (sorbitan monostearate, Span®60, SM) and a liquid fatty ester (ethyl oleate, EO). The calculations enable molecular-level examination of GB lamellae and their evolution without and with the addition of other lipids. By making available the complete EDP calculation results, the dataset supports reproducibility and provides a valuable reference for researchers investigating the structural behavior of lipid-based materials, with direct relevance to the design and optimization of GB-based formulations.
