On-ice passive seismological dataset from Hansbreen, Svalbard, summer 2021
收藏资源简介:
Continuous seismic data (mseed files in SDS structure, compressed) recorded on Hansbreen glacier in Hornsund, Svalbard in summer 2021. The dataset consists of 20 short-period (4.5 Hz) vertical SmartSolo with the sampling frequency of 250 Hz. The setup consisted of 2 8-element arrays with inner and outer ring radii of 100 m and 215 m, respectively, supplemented by 4 additional, more distant auxiliary geophones (see the map Hansbreen_overall_2021.png). The southern array was installed on the lateral moraine. The northern array and 4 auxiliary geophones were installed directly on the ice surface. The recording lasted 8 days from July 26 and August 2, 2021. The overall geometry of the whole experiment is presented here: Hansbreen_overall_2021.png The on-ice setup geometry used in the paper is presented on Hansbreen_2021_setup.png The user-friendly coordinates of the used on-ice stations are provided in a text file: station_coordinates_B2_2021.csv The full XML network inventory is also attached: inventory_hans_2021.xml. Elevation is given in km above sea level. X and Y coordinates are in UTM 33 X. The S... stations present in the map and xml failed to record useful data, hence, the waveforms are not included. This work was supported by the AFG SIOS project and the statutory funding of the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences (Department of Geophysical Imaging). This dataset is a part of a project called "Seismological monitoring of calving at Hansbreen" approved by the Governor of Svalbard (RIS ID: 11708), project description on www.researchinsvalbard.no.
