Flexible Damage Function Parameters for Climate Impact Assessment

Region-specific damage function parameters estimated from projected climate impact data. A distinct emulation function is calibrated for each region, with globally common income elasticities capturing the benefits of income-driven adaptation. The damage function takes the form M_it = (alpha_i * T_t + beta_i * T_t^2) * Y_it^gamma, where T is global mean temperature anomaly from pre-industrial (degrees C), Y is GDP per capita, and gamma is the income elasticity. Parameters are provided at impact region resolution with 19 gamma quantiles per region for uncertainty propagation.
