收藏资源简介:
These are the supplementary files for the paper untitled "Decoding Surface Processes from Escarpment to Watershed: Insights from Karst Landscapes Using Cosmogenic Nuclides and Geochemical Data". This study explores surface processes and landscape evolution in the Vermelho Watershed, a tropical karst system in Brazil. Using cosmogenic nuclides (10Be and 26Al), geochemical data, and geomorphic analyses, it examines how erosion, sediment transport, and burial dynamics vary across escarpments, karst features, and flatter terrains. Key findings reveal: Escarpments experience rapid erosion driven by mass wasting. Flatter terrains exhibit slower erosion and prolonged sediment residence. Sediment mixing processes dominate downstream fluvial systems, with partial burial and pre-depositional complexities influencing cosmogenic nuclide signals. The study provides insights into sedimentary dynamics in karst landscapes and compares its findings with similar Brazilian regions.
