Noise mapping City of Oldenburg

As an agglomeration, the city of Oldenburg is obliged to carry out a comprehensive noise mapping and to draw up a noise action plan. Noise maps represent the exposure of the population to noise caused by different types of noise sources graphically. In the city of Oldenburg, the noise source types of road transport, rail transport and commerce/industry are to be considered. On the basis of the noise maps, a noise action plan shall then identify measures to reduce the noise pollution of the population or to protect quiet areas from the increase of further noise pollution.
