This repository contains the complete input parameter files used for hydrocode simulations of the Lonar impact event performed with the iSALE-2D shock physics code. The dataset supports the resolution sensitivity (CPPR) tests presented in the associated manuscript:<b>“Hydrocode simulation of Lonar impact event: insights into brittle deformation and formation of simple craters in basalt.”</b>The simulations investigate the formation of a simple impact crater in a basaltic target analogous to the Lonar crater (India), focusing on shock pressure distribution, temperature evolution, plastic strain, and fracture development.To assess numerical convergence and model robustness, simulations were performed at four spatial resolutions expressed as cells per projectile radius (CPPR):<b>CPPR = 10</b><b>CPPR = 20</b><b>CPPR = 30</b><b>CPPR = 40</b>Each resolution test is stored in a separate directory:<code>Lonar_49</code> → CPPR = 10<code>Lonar_50</code> → CPPR = 20<code>Lonar_51</code> → CPPR = 30<code>Lonar_52</code> → CPPR = 40Each directory contains two essential iSALE input files:<code>asteroid.inp</code> – Defines projectile parameters<code>material.inp</code> – Defines material properties for both projectile and target
