资源简介:
This is a collection of image data. In late 2019 and early 2020, Sri Lankans witnessed a new trend of street art emerging. Mainly youth, gathered in small groups were transforming previously unoccupied or poster-pasted walls into pieces of art. Every paintable space such as expressway bridges, parapet walls of schools, or other public buildings in the city and the suburbs was transformed into canvases by these amateur artists. Their visual expressions covered many different areas of interest such as culture, nature, heritage, ethnicity, identity, memories of war, climate change, and even some crucial contemporary political issues. All these images were captured by the author and thus owns the copywrites.
