Annual SST Phenology Metrics Computed by Fourier Analysis for the Mediterranean Sea (1982–2024)

This dataset contains annual outputs derived from Fourier analysis applied to satellite-based sea surface temperature (SST) data over the Mediterranean Sea for the period 1982–2024. Each NetCDF file includes 43 raster layers corresponding to yearly values for a given metric. The dataset comprises the three main Fourier-derived outputs: h_Phase, h_Max, and h_Amplitude, which describe the timing of the annual maximum, the estimated maximum SST, and the amplitude of the annual cycle, respectively. These outputs provide a spatially explicit characterization of the seasonal thermal structure of the Mediterranean Sea and support analyses of interannual variability, spatial heterogeneity, and long-term climatic change.
