资源简介:
Aedes aegypti is the major mosquito vector of several viral infectious diseases including dengue, chikungunya, zika, and yellow fever. Control of this important vector highly depends on use of insecticides, especially pyrethroids. Development of pyrethroid resistance, however, is a major obstacle for mosquito control and is one of the significant factors that causes increasing the number of dengue cases worldwide. In this study, we focused on the mutations in the target site of pyrethroid insecticides, voltage sensitive sodium channel (VSSC). In this study, we studied on the relationship between VSSC and pyrethroid resistance in A. aegypti collected in Asia. Ten new kdr strains of A. aegypti were established and susceptibility of adult mosquitoes to pyrethroids were evaluated as well as determination of full length VSSC.
