Avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) is the etiological agent of avian colibacillosis, causing millions of economic losses globally. Because of the significance of this disease, more knowledge is needed regarding its mechanisms of virulence and to identify new targets for vaccine development. Here, we present the fully closed genome sequence of four avian pathogenic E. coli strain isolated from diseased birds.
