<p></p><p>Lake District is the largest of ten national parks in England. It was designated as a national park in 1951 and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.</p><p>Lake District is famous for its mountainous terrain, formed by glaciers. The mountains in this area are also called "fells".</p>
