Cantonal migration policy in Switzerland

In 2011, the Federal Migration Commission mandated the study "Gestaltungsspielräume im Föderalismus. Die Migrationspolitik in den Kantonen". The study described the application of federal migration legislation in the 26 cantons and developed explanatory approaches for identifiable differences. This study is a new edition, the aim of which is to research and document the current state of cantonal implementation of federal immigration, naturalization, and asylum legislation.
