Math Anxiety among Czech Grammar School Students: Research Data from Bachelor Thesis

This dataset was collected as part of the bachelor's thesis titled "Math Anxiety among Czech Grammar School Students".It includes data from Czech secondary school students regarding their age, gender, attitude towards mathematics, school grades in mathematics, weekly study time devoted to mathematics, and responses to the modified Abbreviated Math Anxiety Scale (mAMAS; Carey et al., 2017). The mAMAS scale measures students' levels of math anxiety across various everyday and academic situations.An overall average score was calculated for each participant. The dataset is intended to support further research in the area of math anxiety, education, and student psychology. Variables include: Demographic data (age, gender) Attitude towards mathematics:Students rated their attitude toward mathematics on a five-point Likert scale1 = Very positive; 5 = Very negative. School grade in mathematics:Students reported their final school grade in mathematics using the Czech grading scale, where: 1 = Excellent; 5 = Fail. Weekly study hours Item-level responses to the mAMAS questionnaire Calculated average math anxiety score
