Genetic Instrumental Variables for 211 Gut Microbiota Taxa, 102 Plasma Metabolites, and 3 Parkinson's Disease Phenotypes: SNP Summary Statistics from European Ancestry GWASData Description:This dataset provides comprehensive genetic instrumental variables (SNPs) and summary statistics for conducting Mendelian Randomization studies. It aims to investigate the potential causal relationships between gut microbiota, plasma metabolites, and Parkinson's Disease (PD) phenotypes.Data Content and Generation:The dataset comprises three core components:211 Gut Microbiota Taxa: Summary statistics were sourced from the MiBioGen consortium (18,340 individuals). Genomic coordinates were lifted over from GRCh37 to GRCh38.102 Plasma Metabolites: Genetic instruments were derived from a metabolome-wide association study of 8,299 individuals.3 Parkinson's Disease Phenotypes: GWAS summary statistics for PD and related phenotypes were obtained from the UK Biobank and the GWAS Catalogue (sample sizes up to 490,640). All data are from European-ancestry populations to minimize population stratification.Instrumental Variable Selection:Genetic instruments were selected with stringent criteria:Significance Thresholds: SNPs for microbiota (p < 1×10⁻⁵), metabolites (p < 5×10⁻⁶), and PD phenotypes (p < 5×10⁻⁸).This curated dataset provides a robust foundation for causal inference analysis in the gut microbiome-metabolite-PD axis.
