Quercus parvula var. shrevei Genomic Resources

Quercus parvula var. shrevei is a tree of coastal California from the Santa Ynez mountains near Santa Barbara to Mendocino Co. in northern California, formerly attributed to Q. wislizeni. Its true distribution is unclear because of hybridization with other red oaks, particularly Q. wislizeni and Q. agrifolia, but it appears to be the most coastally restricted tree member of the California red oaks. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's OmniC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core.
