Driving Behavior Analysis for Safety on Rural Two-Lane Two-Way Roads

Project Description This dataset was created in support of one of the winners in the "Student Paper Competition: SHRP 2 Safety Data Bonanza" sponsored by the SHRP 2 Safety Data Program and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Committee for Use and Oversight of SHRP 2 Safety Data, Phase 1. Crash, near-crash, and baseline events were provided to enable an examination of the relationships among driver behavior, vehicle kinematic state, and road elements. Data Request Scope Two datasets were exported: Event Detail Table, Vehicle, and Participant Characteristics for 216 Crash/Near-crash events and 500 baseline events on rural two lane roads.
