mRNA profiles of primary mouse chondrocytes exposed to senescence stress (bleomycin, doxorubicin) or acute inflammation (interleukin-1 beta) were generated by mRNA sequencing. This study provides transcriptome landscape of senescent chondrocytes. Overall design: To investigate the cellular senescence process of chondrocytes, primary culture of mouse articular chondrocytes underwent treatment with senescence-inducing stimuliâbleomycin (50 µg/ml for 24 h plus incubation in fresh medium for five days) or doxorubicin (50 nM for five days). Interleukin-1 beta treatment as an inflammation-induced acute stress model served as a control.
