资源简介:
Blockchain technology has captivated the supply chain sector with its potential to boost transparency, traceability, and efficiency. However, its implementation brings unique challenges and tensions that organizations must tackle. This thesis evaluates the validity and applicability of Ostern and Perscheid's framework for managing tensions in implementing and using blockchain technology in supply chain management. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study combines secondary research data with primary research through semi-structured interviews to analyze the tensions arising from implementing blockchain technology in the supply-chain context. Critical tensions identified include public vs. private blockchains, value creation and capture, inclusivity and exclusivity, compliance, and trust in institutions and the blockchain code. The research findings suggest that careful attention to governance, incentives, data privacy, and transparency can help overcome these challenges and establish a foundation of Trust for the long-term sustainability of blockchain networks. This research adds to the existing body of knowledge on blockchain technology, offering a crucial understanding of the difficulties and tensions arising from its deployment and utilization within the realm of supply chain management. It also provides practical recommendations for organizations contemplating integrating blockchain technology into their supply chain processes.
