Gossypium arboreum Transcriptome Shotgun Assembly. Gossypium arboreum

We constructed a transcriptome shotgun assembly from multiple organs of Gossypium arboreum to use as a mapping reference for RNAseq of the domesticated tetraploid relatives Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium barbadense. The assembly was derived from 454 sequencing of cDNA from vegetative and floral organs of Gossypium arboreum including: young roots, cotyledons, hypocotyls, true leaves, and stems from 4-week old seedlings, ovules at -3 and 0 days post anthesis and ovules and fibers from 3, 5, 10, and 15 days post anthesis.
