This dataset contains data on the morphology of NiO precursor and the effect of CeO2/Ni catalyst on CO2 methanation performance in the paper. The dataset includes two types: origin drawing data and PPT TEM and HRTEM. This study prepared sheet-like Ni (s-Ni), octahedral Ni (o-Ni), and commercial Ni (c-Ni) supports by regulating the morphology reduction of NiO precursors, and further prepared reverse catalysts 13.4%CeO2/s-Ni, 2%CeO2/o-Ni, and 2%CeO2/c-Ni to systematically investigate the effect of different Ni-CeO2 interfaces on the performance of CO2 methanation reaction. Including activity testing under reaction conditions of 210-350 °C, stability testing at 350 °C for 50 h, and corresponding characterization. These data demonstrate the influence of different Ni carrier morphologies on the Ni-CeO2 interface by regulating the morphology of NiO carriers, providing research ideas for further designing catalysts with high catalytic performance.
