资源简介:
Obesity-associated cardiovascular disease (CVD) has become a global health challenge, with obesity cardiomyopathy (OCM) representing a distinct clinical entity. Myocardial lipotoxicity, characterized by abnormal lipid accumulation and peroxidation, is a central pathophysiological mechanism in OCM. Finerenone, a novel nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA), has shown promising cardioprotective effects; however, its role in mitigating myocardial lipotoxicity remains unclear. Therefore,we performed a bulk transcriptomic analysis of a rat model of high-fat diet-induced myocardial lipotoxic injury to determine the mechanisms of cardioprotection by nonsteroidal MRA-finerenone. We provide 2 types of rat cardiac datasets: 3 control groups-obese rats with cardiac structural and functional damage induced by a high-fat diet for 16 weeks; and 4 drug groups-obese rats on a high-fat diet for 16 weeks, with finerenone 10 mg/kg/day by gavage treatment for the last 4 weeks.
