It becomes a tool head for machining workpieces at high rotational speeds， with a base body (2) rotatable about an axis (1)， which together with a clamping jaw (3) has a receptacle (4) that extends radially outwards for the cutting edge (5) forms opposite end portion (6) of a knife (7). In order to design such a tool head in such a way that a quick and easy knife change can take place in spite of operationally thermal tensions of the tool parts and at the same time a secure fit of the knife in the receptacle is made possible despite high rotational speeds， it is proposed that the knife (7) only one Positioning surface (11) forms which cooperates in the pull-out direction with a positioning stop (10) of a positioning spring (9) of the base body (2) and that a tensioning element (14) is provided for tensioning the knife (7) against the positioning spring (9) and against its positioning stop (10) is.
