UPAYA MENGIDENTIFIKASI KESENJANGAN YANG TERJADI DI WILAYAH ALAM SUTERA

This study aims to identify social, economic, and infrastructure disparities in Alam Sutera. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, it analyzes secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and in-depth interviews with local residents and key stakeholders. Grounded in Lewis A. Coser’s theory of social inequality and the concept of equitable development, the research reveals significant disparities between subdistricts, particularly in access to education, healthcare services, and economic opportunities. The areas of East Ciputat and Setu exhibit the highest levels of inequality compared to North Serpong, which has experienced rapid growth due to property investments and digital infrastructure development. Uneven urbanization and spatial planning policies that fail to adequately respond to community needs are identified as the main drivers of this inequality. The study recommends the need for more inclusive development planning, capacity building for local human resources, and a strengthened role for local government in ensuring fair distribution of development benefits. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for formulating strategic policies to reduce disparities and promote sustainable growth in Alam Sutera.
