Primary aldosteronism is characterized by the excessive production of aldosterone, which contributes to cardiac fibrosis and other cardiovascular effects, independent of its blood pressure raising effect. In order to characterize the sequential effect of aldosterone on the heart, we analysed the transcript expression in the myocardium in aldosterone infusion mice and control mice weekly over 6 weeks.These transcription data sets provide valuable information about the sequential event of cardiac remodelling after aldosterone infusion.
