Theile."; Otto Gerhard Hettasch was born in 1871 in Clarkson, South Africa. He was of European origin and worked as a missionary in West Himalaya from 1900 to 1911 and then in South Africa West from 1920 to 1964. Hettasch was a teacher at the teachers training school in Genadendal and later worked in Moravian Hill and Elim. He died in 1964 in Belleville, South Africa.
