PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide bar of a saw chain capable of improving transport efficiency of lubrication oil by the saw chain and preventing wasting of the lubrication oil. SOLUTION: A guide bar 3 for guiding slide running of an endless saw chain 4 having a first link member 13 and second link members 14， 15 comprises: a guide groove 17 on which the first link member 13 slidably runs; and guide surfaces 18， 18 on which the second link members 14， 15 slidably run. A bottom part 25 of the guide groove 17 is formed of a material softer than a deepest part 13a of the first link member 13 over the whole region where lubrication oil is need to be conveyed， so that a state where the deepest part 13a of the first link member 13 and the bottom part 25 of the guide groove 17 are always brought into contact with each other over the whole region where the lubrication oil is need to be conveyed， is kept.
