PENSREF Pension Reform Database

The PENSREF database provides detailed information on pension systems and legislated measures in the EU Member States. The database allows for cross-country analysis of pension system characteristics enacted, as well as for tracking measures over time, thus providing a consistent and policy-relevant picture of different reform strategies being pursued by Member States. The database does not contain information on planned reforms or draft bills. The PENSREF database is managed by the European Commission services in cooperation with the Ageing Working Group (AWG) under the Economic Policy Committee (EPC). The aim of the project is to support the work carried out in the framework preparation of the Ageing Reports and to facilitate the understanding of pension systems in EU Member States.
