Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Program of traditional Chinese Medicine

The project focuses on the role of modern medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine in treating patients. Acute gastrointestinal injury (AGI) is often reported in patients with sepsis. The gut microbiota has been shown to play an important role in the course of this condition, and traditional Chinese medicines are known to have a beneficial regulatory effect on gut microbiota. In our study, we explored the potential of a decoction called XingQiHuoXue (XQHX), which was formulated by us for the treatment of qi stagnation and blood stasis, in patients with septic AGI.
