Early Corded Ware Mortuary Palisades in Jutland: Burial Architecture and Grave Goods
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains archaeological data on Early Corded Ware mortuary palisades from Jutland, Denmark (c. 2850-2600 BCE). It was compiled to provide a systematic record of these monuments and their associated burials. It includes information on 139 mortuary palisades and associated burials, including their location, palisade dimensions, burial characteristics, associated grave goods, and measures of burial investment. Where available, information on biological sex, body orientation, and other characteristics of the deceased is also included. Data collection was completed in 2019. The material brings together published and archival archaeological records and provides standardized variables that enable comparison between individual graves and regions. The data have been used by the authors to investigate local and regional variation in Early Corded Ware burial practices in Jutland. Publication using the dataset: Nielsen, S. K. & N. N.
