The results are predicated on the assumption that every call to that address is in response to a problem at that address. It further assumes that the property in question was being rented out as an STR at the time of the call. The data does not allow us to verify this. 311 and 911 data were extracted from their respective source data as of April 17th 2023, the extract contains incidents from April 15th 2021 to April 15th 2023 which included loud noise, parking, litter complaints, and 311 STR specific complaint types. 311 and 911 locations were determined by matching address to Short-Term Rental locations that were shown to be active. The short-term rental data was extracted from MUNIRevs – a vendor that the City employs to identify and register STR properties.
