Young People and Democracy in Europe 2004 (EUYOUPART) (SUF edition)

Full edition for scientific use. EUYOUPART (Political Participation of Young People in Europe 2003-2005) was funded under the 5th framework programme of the European Commission and is a transnational project. The aim of EUYOUPART was to develop a high-quality instrument for the comparative measurement of political participation of young people in Europe. The project was conducted by a research team of eight participating countries (Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Austria, Slovakia and Great Britain) and managed by SORA as scientific and administrative coordinator. The challenge for the research team was to achieve a high level of comparability of the data despite the different political cultures and methods of participating, the different research cultures and the problem of translating the different concepts into the eight languages and cultures. The instrument is a model questionnaire based on the strengths and weaknesses of the previous empirical research in the field of youth and politics. The high level of comparability of the data allows for a realistic picture of the political participation of young people in all eight participating countries, which may serve as a basis for the development of a consistent European youth policy.

本数据集为科研专用完整版。EUYOUPART（欧洲青年政治参与度调研，英文全称Political Participation of Young People in Europe 2003-2005）由欧盟委员会第五框架计划资助，属于跨国研究项目。该项目的核心目标是开发一套高质量的调研工具，用于对欧洲各国青年的政治参与度开展比较性测量。本项目由德国、爱沙尼亚、芬兰、法国、意大利、奥地利、斯洛伐克及英国共8个参与国的研究团队共同实施，并由SORA担任科学与行政协调方。研究团队面临的核心挑战在于：尽管各参与国存在不同的政治文化与公民参与模式、迥异的研究范式，且需将多元研究概念适配至8种语言与文化语境中，仍需保障调研数据具备极高的可比性。该调研工具为标准化问卷模板，其设计依托于青年与政治领域既往实证研究的优势与不足。得益于极高的数据可比性，本数据集可精准呈现8个参与国青年政治参与的真实图景，可为欧盟统一青年政策的制定提供坚实依据。
