Dataset on nitrogen adsorption and desorption isotherms of activated carbon prepared from poultry litters

This dataset is related to the treatment of poultry litters (PL) containing sawdust and chicken manure mixed in different varied proportions. Sawdust, chicken manure and PL were treated using hydrothermal carbonisation (HTC) and steam at high temperature. After HTC, physical activation for subsequent enhancement of hydrochar was furtherly treated with steam to produce activated carbon. The surface areas of the obtained activated carbons were measured by nitrogen adsorption and calculated using the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) formalism over a relative pressure range (0.05<P)⁄(P_0<0.30). The provided data are the nitrogen adsorption and desorption isotherms of the different activated carbons obtained. These data give an overall summary of the morphology of activated carbon produced from sawdust, chicken manure and poultry litters via HTC and steam.
