Footwear import value in China 2021, by product category

China's footwear market is dominated by domestically made products. However, the imports of shoes have been growing in China in recent years. In 2021, footwear with outer soles made of rubber, plastics or leather and uppers made of leather was the leading footwear import category with the total import value of over 2.8 billion U.S. dollars.
