The Organisation of Hospitals. Patient Experiences, 2001

The reason for the project is former Health Minister Gudmund Hernes '10 virtues for health. In pace with these guidelines it was essential for hospitals to obtain systematic and regular information on how their patients experience the hospital stay. The purpose of the survey is to get an overview of patient experiences, and comparing these experiences between hospitals. On this basis, it is desirable to find information and issues that can be studied further.
It was handed out questionnaires at the Central Hospital in Sogn og Fjordane and Fylkeshuset in Haugesund. The questions focus on the organization and coordination of hospital operations and patient satisfaction with the treatment, care and hospitalization in general.
