HERMES_Delta Benchmark Dataset

This dataset provides a reproducible benchmark for testing and validating the main functionalities of the HERMES_Delta emission-processing software. The benchmark reproduces the generation of hourly SNAP03 emissions over the Iberian Peninsula at a spatial resolution of 0.1 deg x 0.1 deg for January 1, 2023. It includes the required configuration files, emission inventory inputs, spatial proxies, temporal profiles, chemical speciation profiles, vertical profiles, geospatial boundaries, and a reference NetCDF output file for validation. The benchmark uses SEIE and LPS/PRTR annual emission inventory files for SNAP03 emissions. Spatial allocation is performed using both a CORINE Land Cover 2018 raster proxy and manually generated weighted point geostructures. The resulting emissions are temporally, vertically, and chemically distributed to produce model-ready output. This package is intended to support reproducibility, software testing, and user onboarding for HERMES_Delta. The package includes third-party CORINE Land Cover 2018 data from the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service.
