资源简介:
Total RNA was extracted from olfactory epithelium tissues of mice exposed to single odorants (acetophenone, decanal, octanal, and cis-3-hexenol) or binary mixtures (acetophenoneâdecanal and octanalâcis-3-hexenol). The extracted RNA was subjected to high-throughput sequencing to profile genome-wide transcriptional changes across all cell types of the olfactory epithelium following odor stimulation. This dataset provides a baseline reference for comparing odor-induced gene expression programs in the olfactory epithelium with transcriptomic profiles obtained from odor-activated neuronal populations enriched by pS6 immunoprecipitation. Overall design: C57BL/6J wild-type male mice (8 weeks old) were individually housed in sealed, odor-proof containers and habituated in an odorless environment for 4 hours prior to stimulation. Mice were then exposed for 90 minutes to one of the following conditions: single odorants (acetophenone, decanal, octanal, cis-3-hexenol) or binary mixtures (acetophenoneâdecanal and octanalâcis-3-hexenol). Immediately following exposure, olfactory epithelium tissues were collected, perfused, and homogenized. Total RNA was extracted from the homogenates, purified, and processed for RNA sequencing. Three biological replicates were obtained for each condition.
