The RNA-based transcriptomic analysis of fusion genes in Anaplastic/ Undifferentiated Thyroid Carcinoma

Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) is one of the most aggressive human cancers and is associated with a very poor prognosis. Understanding the molecular pathogenesis of cancer initiation and progression can pave the way for targeted molecular therapy. To date, the molecular landscape of ATC is less well described. Here, we evaluate the RNA-based transcriptomic analysis of fusion genes in a case of papillary thyroid carcinoma with a focus of ATC on Next-Generation sequencing platform.
