(A) Proliferation, as measured by [3H]-thymidine incorporation, of the indicated cell lines after 24 hours of the specified treatments. Unless otherwise noted, HGF was used at 10 ng/ml and rapamycin was applied at 100 nM. Values represent the mean, and error bars are the standard deviation of triplicate measurements. * Denotes P<0.05 as determined using the unpaired Student's t test. (B) Immunoblot analysis of the indicated cell lines after the specified treatments. Unless otherwise noted, treatment intervals were 24 hours. (C) Immunoblot analysis of the indicated cell lines after the same treatments as in (B) using a pan-phosphotyrosine antibody. (D) Immunoblot analysis of BT549 cell lysates after the indicated treatments. HGF was added for the last 15 minutes of the 24-hour treatment period. (E) Proliferation, as measured by [3H]-thymidine incorporation, of the indicated cell lines after 24 hours of the specified treatments.
